Faculty Social November 07, 2018

Dear Members,

In the months following last year's strike, we heard many times how much you had come to know faculty from other departments, schools, and campuses during your time on the picket line.

Some of the picket teams began to meet informally for coffee or drinks, and many friendships were formed as we stood together for a common cause.

Since then, many of you have asked if the union could arrange some events where faculty could get together and socialize.

We would therefore like to invite you to join us for an informal Faculty Social on Wednesday, November 7.

Place: Edelweiss Tavern, 600 Doon Village Road, Kitchener (corner of Homer Watson & Manitou, about 3 minutes drive from Doon campus)
Date and Time: Wednesday, November 7, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Style: Informal (Tables reserved for us, faculty buy their own food and drinks)

Open to all Local 237 members; feel free to invite your Part Time and Sessional colleagues.

If there is sufficient interest, we can arrange more of these gatherings or hold them closer to Waterloo, Guelph, or Brantford campuses so everyone gets a chance to attend.

Members of the union executive will also be there if you have any questions or just want to say hello!

We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday.
In Solidarity,
Your Local 237 Executive
